Einar Stefánsson is a versatile Icelandic/Norwegian bass-baritone. Having studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, he is currently based in Oslo where he is continuing his training under the tutelage of renowned soprano Solveig Kringlebotn at the Opera School of the National Academy of the Arts.

A former member of the Young Artist Programmes at Buxton International Festival and Bergen National Opera, Einar has worked as a freelance singer performing operatic roles, in opera choruses and choral and symphonic music. Along the core operatic repertoire, Einar has developed a particular interest in contemporary and experimental music as well as projects concerning social issues.
